The short answer here is, Maybe.

It will depend on a number of factors. If the toy is still moist, there’s a very good chance the infection is still on the toy. Bacteria, and infectious disease can survive in room temperature for up to 7 days, so if its been longer than 7 days, there should be no bacteria left on the toy… at least from yourself.
